Bayonne and Biarritz

Bayonne and Biarritz are two small cities in France located 11 miles (18 kilometres) from the border with Spain. It is in the traditional province of Labourd  in the French Basque Country. Our trip there was not longer than two hours. During the journey Amaya explained us about the city and places to visit. The first place we visited was the Cathedral, always feels good to visit a church.

After the church visit we gave a round in the city and we found out that we were hanging around in the same places, well, small city. How to spend the time in this small city?

We walked around maybe for more than half an hour trying to find a place to seat and wait for the bus time. Finally we found the French Coffee Shop where we could have something to drink and a good seat while waiting.

Three o'clock we headed to Biarritz, it was closer then what we were expecting. Biarritz is a lovely city on the Bay of Biscay, on the Atlantic coast in the Pyrénées Atlantiques department in southwestern France. It is a luxurious seaside town and is popular with tourists and surfers. Why we came on winter??? It's windy and raining but beautiful anyway.

We enjoyed the rest of our day walking around the city and we visited the Miremont, the cafetaria where the king Alfonso XIII and his young wife have been in 1905. They have all kind of attractive desserts and well decorated, yummy!!

Look at that, yummy!!!

We ended up backing to fifties at back to 50's snack bar, what a fancy place...

 Finally we got our burgers...

Trabajando sola

Has Miriam left last week this week I had to keep packing the goodies. Miriam taught me very well how to do everything and to make notes if something is missing or to mark the good when there is some defect so that the person who have to correct it can see. It was easy to continue the task alone. Have done that all week and I couldn't finish it has we received more goods.

Laura invited us to go out on Friday when everybody is left work as two of the girls are living at 8pm. We met Laura at Abando' station and we went to an Irish bar in Moyua.

Neene was not feeling well and she went home. Krista, Jenna and me went with Laura to Casco Veijo's square. There are so many bars in the square where people normally go for pintxos and drinks. They buy drinks and pintxos and go out to eat. Many if the bars are quite small here so people use to stay outside.

So many Pintxos available here and there and it was difficult to choose a place to go. Well, we decided to have pintxos in different places and that was the best thing we did. We could try many different and delicious pintxos, yummy!!!

San Sebastian

The working week was not so easy. We had to pack all the new goodies. There were quite a lot and trying to make it faster to have it ready to Friday because it was Miriam's last day at Ian Mosh. It is quite sad that she is living because she was teaching me some Spanish and it was nice to work with her.

This week Miriam taught me how to make quality check when the goodies arrive to the warehouse. The good have to be perfect before we pack them, so we have to see if the good doesn't have any defect.

Although it was a It was a rainy week we manage to plan something fun, go to Spa on Thursday. Look for the needs to the Spa was a little bit fun. First  couldn't find a bikini and then we find many of it. And could even buy more than what I wanted because they were all in discounts, once again Rebajas. Huuum, now is time to find flip flops, that was also funny because we didn't want to spend so much, there we were again: in a  Chinese shop, haha... At least could find something Pink :D

The relaxing time in the Spa was amazing, enjoy the Turkish bath, Sauna, water massage, Jacuzzi, jump into the cold water and then run to the warm water was also fun. In the end of this lovely treatments we a had a lovely warm relaxing chair waiting for us, I could even sleep there, fantastic! Thanks to Laura to invite us to the Spa.

Friday was Miriam's farewell and she brought some Spanish 'pastelitos' and the company offered some 'Pintxos' and drinks. Everything was delicious. The only sadness was that Miriam was leaving!

San Sebastian...

It was 6 o'clock when the alarm rang on Saturday, time to wake up and get ready to our day trip to San Sebastian. We left home a little bit later than what we planned but in time to catch the bus. It was dark and rainy morning, we were all hopping for a better weather in San Sebastián. The trip was surprisingly quick, after an hour and ten minutes we were in San Sebastián, ops, raining in San Sebastián as well. That's how our lovely day trip started...

San Sebastián is a very Windy city and we couldn't expect how windy it is. We tried to walk to the sea side and we couldn't even get close to the sea because of the wind. Better to start our day with a cup of tea/hot chocolate.

One more cafeteria with lovey pintxos...

We had a lovely breakfast and we let our signatures to their guest book, haha... A table lamp, so cute!!!

After the breakfast we were ready to continue our walk in San Sebastián fighting against the wind. Ops, the final result = three broken umbrellas!

We got to go to the closest Chinise shop to buy new umbrellas. Luckily we got fancy ones + colored raining Coats :)

Even it was raining, the day in San Sebastián was amazing. We enjoyed and appreciated the beautiful city.

San Sebastian church

We went to the beach where is forbidden at the moment to get close to it because of the storm weather.

Finally we got to the Aquarium...

That was the souvenir made at the machine. Just five cents and you get this lovely souvenir!!!
